Tampa’s Big Cats Rescue is the world’s largest big cat rescue sanctuary filled with more than 100 felines. Lion, tigers, cougars, bobcats, leopards and more. Like there small domesticated counterparts, most of these big cats are recues from abuse and abandonment. If you are ever in the Tampa Bay area this is a wonderful place to visit. Tours are conducted by a knowledgeble staff. Here is their facebook page.
Below are some photos I took on a recent visit. Many more photos will be posted on my own facebook page in the next day or so. You can sign up on the right hand side of this page.

John, what marvelous photographs. Isn’t it remarkable how sedate these animals seem. They seem to have an elegance that humans can’t quite achieve, a self-possession. It is beyond me how anyone could mistreat or abandon these creatures. I’m happy you’re doing something to alert the public about this fine effort in Tampa. Thanks for the link to their page.
Yours always,
Dave Crosby
Thanks Dave. The Big Cats Rescue does a great job with these animals and in educating the public. As you mention they are elegant and graceful.
Wonderful photographs. Of course I am smaller than these cats but I think we have a lot in common. I am looking forward to revsisitng this site.
